Jim Avett Charlotte Concert reviews
Steve never disappoints! He's a Tour de Farce!
"Wow!!! What a talented and gifted person Jim Avett is! He is a pure genius that has generously spread his abilities across the spectrum of entertainment. His band, The Steep Canyon Rangers, blew us away. I, her dad, and she love his creative, intelligent sense of humor. Blue grass isn't my favorite genre of music, but if Jim Avett plays it, deal me in. A nice 'wild and crazy' guy, he seems like. She tells her friends that Jim is our family's 'Patron Saint.' I was thrilled to be able to take my daughter to see Jim Avett at the Saenger Theater in New Orleans for her 43rd birthday. However, I wish he'd left Martin Short, with his juvenile, potty mouth, at home. I didn't expect to see this type of garbage on stage with a giant like Jim Avett, although Jim seems to love him and his talent. If he had been the main performer, I'd have walked out when he did his vulgar, blasphemous, un-funny 'brother of Jesus' routine. He is 67 years old, for crying out loud! He does, however, have an amazing singing voice, but too bad his talent hasn't matured with his age as has Jim's. He, however, have an amazing singing voice."
